The Bossier Arts Council is proving that great things really do come in small packages with its latest exhibition, “Pocket Sized,” a miniature art show featuring more than 100 works by local artists.

The exhibit, now on display at the Bossier Arts Council, challenges artists to think small. The only requirement for submissions was that each piece measure 3 inches or smaller. Beyond that, artists were free to explore any medium, material or subject matter.

The result is a diverse collection of miniature works that showcase impressive creativity and attention to detail despite their tiny size.

To enhance the experience, visitors will receive mini magnifying glasses to use while exploring the gallery. The interactive element allows guests to get a closer look at the intricate details packed into each piece.

Featured works in the exhibition include “A Simple Photo” by Rachel Taylor, “Bonfire” by Adam Garcia, “Grand Regent Thragg” by Eric Francis, “Lady in Red” by Marci Hicks, “God’s Creatures” by Megan Daniel, “All My Own” by Jillian Kerneen and “Golden Girl” by Nicole Kempf.

“Pocket Sized” will remain on display through July 31.

The exhibition’s opening reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the Bossier Arts Council.

Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply curious to see what artists can create on a miniature scale, “Pocket Sized” offers a unique opportunity to experience a collection where imagination and craftsmanship take center stage, proving that creativity has no size limit.
