Three18 Insider is proud to announce that Pulitzer Prize nominee Maggie Martin is joining the Three18 Insider team!
A Shreveport native and journalist for more than 65 years, Martin will bring her longtime storytelling and reporting experience to Three18 Insider beginning with our July issue. She will write about and cover social events and happenings throughout the Ark-La-Tex, with a special focus on the Shreveport-Bossier area.
Readers can expect coverage of notable community events such as Cotillion and Christmas in the Sky, along with features on food, travel and unique “off the beaten path” finds across the region.
“Maggie Martin is a staple in the Shreveport-Bossier social scene,” said Paul Savage Jr., publisher of Three18 Insider. “We’re thrilled she chose our publication to continue sharing the stories, celebrations and community connections that have made her work a local favorite for decades.”
In 1976, Martin and a team of Shreveport Times reporters were nominees for the Pulitzer Prize for their investigation into former Shreveport Public Safety Commissioner George D’Artois.
Throughout her career at The Shreveport Times, Martin covered school desegregation in Caddo and Bossier parishes, the school boards, medicine, LSU Medical School, gardening, fashion and a variety of investigative and enterprise stories.
