The Krewe of Centaur will celebrate the halfway point to Mardi Gras with its annual Midway to Mardi Gras event, “Red, White, and Royal,” on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Sam’s Town Casino in Shreveport.
The patriotic themed celebration will feature the presentation of the Krewe of Centaur’s Royal Court XXXV, live music, dinner and a silent auction as the organization officially kicks off the 2027 carnival season.
Doors open at 6 p.m., allowing guests time to socialize, browse silent auction items and enjoy dinner before the Royal Tableau begins at 8 p.m. Following the court presentation, the Caravan Band will provide live entertainment throughout the evening.
The silent auction will include sports memorabilia, exclusive experiences, specialty packages and other unique items available for bidding.
Adult tickets are $85 and include admission, dinner and access to a cash bar for guests 18 and older. Youth tickets for guests 17 and younger are $45 and include dinner.
Organizers encourage attendees to wear cocktail attire or Americana-inspired clothing to match the event’s “Red, White, and Royal” theme.
Tickets must be purchased by July 20 and will not be available at the door. Organizers expect the event to sell out.
Additional information and tickets are available at the Krewe of Centaur’s website.
