Anticipation is building in downtown Shreveport for a season centered on music, community, and connection. The Levitt AMP Shreveport Music Series has unveiled its 2026 lineup, setting the stage for a run of free concerts designed to bring people together under the open sky at Caddo Common Park.
Running from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, the series invites families, friends, and neighbors to gather in a relaxed, open lawn setting where live music becomes the backdrop for shared experiences. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic snacks, blankets, and lawn chairs, while enjoying an atmosphere that also includes food trucks, an arts market, and hands-on activities for children like make-take art, community art projects, bubbles, and sprinkler fun.
Supported in part by the Levitt Family Foundation, the initiative reflects a broader national effort to activate public spaces through music. As a social impact funder working at the intersection of music, public space, and community building, the foundation supports nonprofits across the country through the Levitt AMP Music Series program, which brings free outdoor concerts to communities while revitalizing underused spaces.
In Shreveport, that vision takes shape through ten free, family-friendly concerts scheduled throughout the summer and fall at Caddo Common Park, located at 869 Texas Avenue. The lineup promises a wide range of musical styles, from zydeco and country to smooth jazz and beyond, highlighting both regional traditions and diverse influences.
2026 Concert Series Lineup
The 2026 series opens on May 2 in conjunction with Taco Wars, as QUIMIKOZ takes the stage with a high-energy blend of Afro-Cuban cumbia rhythms, reggae, and hip-hop, driven by a dynamic horn section. The following weeks continue to build momentum, beginning May 9 with Hillbilly Slip, featuring Kevin Mac, a country artist and songwriter known for energetic performances that fuse country and bluegrass, alongside Jacob Lyda, whose singer-songwriter style leans into classic country traditions.
On May 16, Chubby Carrier brings a deep-rooted Louisiana sound to the park. As a third-generation zydeco musician and acclaimed accordion player and drummer, his performance reflects both heritage and celebration of the state’s musical identity. Two weeks later, on May 30, the Terence Fisher Band offers a shift in tone with smooth jazz that blends original compositions and familiar favorites.
June continues with the Natural Change Band on June 6, a group of seasoned musicians whose versatility spans R&B, funk, and smooth jazz, followed by Titus Showers on June 13. Known for combining traditional gospel with a contemporary R&B feel, Showers brings a soulful, award-winning sound shaped by his time as the former lead singer of the family group, The Showers.
While the summer schedule sets the tone, additional fall dates will extend the series, with more details available through the Shreveport Regional Arts Council website. The organization, which serves Shreveport and northwest Louisiana, continues its mission to develop, nurture, and promote the arts while expanding access through community-focused programming.
The Levitt AMP Shreveport Music Series itself is part of a larger national network. Thanks in part to strong community support, the Shreveport Regional Arts Council was selected as one of more than 65 nonprofits across the country to receive a multi-year Levitt Music Series grant, ensuring the continuation of these concerts through 2026, 2027, and 2028.
Across the country, the Levitt Family Foundation’s support will help bring more than 900 free concerts to over 90 towns and cities in 2026 alone, reaching more than a million people. In Shreveport, that impact will be felt in the simple but powerful act of gathering together—on blankets and lawn chairs, surrounded by music, art, and the energy of a community coming alive.
