Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is ushering in a new era for its dining program with the debut of Luk Fu by Jet Tila, a reimagined restaurant that introduces Chef Jet Tila’s signature pan-Asian cuisine to the Bossier City property.
The partnership transforms Luk Fu into a destination showcasing Tila’s globally inspired approach to Asian flavors while blending several of his signature dishes with longtime guest favorites.
The updated restaurant officially debuted July 23 with a refreshed menu featuring several of Tila’s signature dishes alongside new creations inspired by his modern approach to Asian cuisine.
The partnership was first announced in April as part of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana’s effort to elevate its dining offerings.
Tila is a James Beard Award nominee, Emmy nominated television personality, bestselling cookbook author and one of the nation’s leading experts on Asian cuisine.
A classically trained chef, he is widely recognized for blending traditional Asian flavors with contemporary techniques rooted in his Thai Chinese heritage.
He has appeared on numerous Food Network programs, including Tournament of Champions, Guy’s Grocery Games, Cutthroat Kitchen and Iron Chef America, and hosted the Emmy Award winning series Ready Jet Cook.
He is also the author of several bestselling cookbooks focused on approachable Asian cooking.
“The exclusive menu works so well because it combines Chef Tila’s new signature dishes with fan-favorites that guests have always loved at Luk Fu,” said Rob Esplen, senior vice president of food and beverage for Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. “The menu has more depth and flavor, and guests are going to sit down to an unforgettable meal every time they visit.”
The new menu includes Jet’s Shrimp Pad Thai, Sweet Heat Chicken Wings, Thai Pineapple Fried Rice and Bao Buns, along with several returning guest favorites.
The restaurant’s official debut coincides with the sold-out New Era of Flavor dinner on July 23, where guests met Tila, learned about the new menu and enjoed its first public tasting.
I had the opportunity to meet Tila and sample several of the new dishes coming to Luk Fu, and the refreshed menu did not disappoint.
Standout additions include Bao Buns, Sweet Heat Chicken Wings, Crispy Potstickers, Shrimp Pad Thai, Mongolian Beef and Thai Pineapple Fried Rice.
“The dishes I’m bringing to the menu are recipes I’ve spent years perfecting, and build on the DNA that already runs through Luk Fu,” Tila said. “I can’t wait for Live! Louisiana guests to taste the food and experience everything the new restaurant has to offer.”
Later that evening, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will host a public Sip & Sign from 9 to 11 p.m. at Center Bar. Tila will meet guests, sign cookbooks available for purchase at Shop Live! and take photos with attendees.
The new Luk Fu by Jet Tila menu will be available beginning July 23. Reservations are now open.
